Festival '08

  We are getting even closer now to the event of the year for our village, the Blyth Festival to celebrate village life.  Yet another reminder of what is going on;

From Saturday 28th to Sunday 30th the Church Flower Festival is taking place, many organisations in the village will be contributing to this not to be missed floral display.
On  Saturday 28th June the School Summer Fete will be happening with many exciting stalls and activities. Children will be able to have a go on a bouncy castle and slide and have their face painted. A number of people will be taking their turn in the stocks, including     get those sponges ready! There will also be an exhibition of the History of Blyth, a variety of refreshments and much more, so there is something for everyone.
During the evening of Saturday 29th June, we can all relax at the Party in the Park event. With a nominal charge of £1 for adults, it is an ideal opportunity for villagers and friends to get together and have a fun evening. Various village teams will battle it out in a Tug-o-war competition and there will be some live music. It will be held at the cricket club which has appropriate facilities and a bar. Don’t forget to bring your picnic and if you like; a bottle or two of wine! 

Sunday 29th June the Traditional Village Fete  on the field above the school with lots of stalls and entertainment. Including a Dog Show with Fly Ball, agility and local dogs. Do you own the handsomest dog or the prettiest bitch?
