Roche Abbey

West of Blyth along the A634 lies Roche Abbey, the ruins of the Cistercian monestary founded in 1147. It is now managed by English Heritage. There are lovely walks through the ancient woodlands around the Abbey. There is an article about the Abbey on Wikipedia.
